It was lanky defender / emergency striker - Kev Roden`s Pine Allstars team that took a lead against the run of play through his life long friend Javier Gonzalez.....who had travelled from the other side of the world to play in this match. `Fev` as he is known, showed his continental flair by neatly finishing past ex Falcon keeper Craig Salmons.
Lee Midgely`s hand selected dream Falcon Pine team seemed to be playing the better football yet went further behind when the excellent Adam Grady made room for ex pine legend Gary Severn to power home the Pine Allstars 2nd.

2-0 down at the first of the three half hour periods, and it was left to player manger Bob Bartle to drill home from 25 yards out to pull Lee`s side back into the game.
But then Kev`s side sailed into a 4-1 lead through another quality goal from Severn and afterwards a trademark header from veteran Jonny Maynell who at the age of 43 is a free agent and looking for a club.

Soon after and it was Bartle again who showed a real of touch of class by chipping the stranded rookie keeper Jimmy Chesters from all of 30 yards out to make it 2-4 but the game was still seemingly lost for Lee`s side.

But with the introduction of ex Falcon Cup winning skipper Ben Manning, he helped gel the midfield and attack together as the Midgely select team set about a series of rampaging runs with Allinson, Qureashi and Scholey linking up well.

It was Manning who scored the Pine 3rd and 4th goals to set up an exciting climax to the game and when former lower league goal scoring machine - Craig Salmons swopped his keeper shirt for the number 9 shirt, it was no suprise to see him him notch the 5th to add to his 300 + career total.

Strange penalties were awarded near the end, with the testimonial boys taking them.....both converting in some style but the scoreline remained at 6-5 to Lee Midgely`s Falcon Pine Dream Team.
