Falcon Pine Youth are a 5 - a - side team in the Thursday night North Bridge Leisure Centre League.
The team was formed about 7 years ago and several of the existing falcon Pine 2000 FC Sunday team played,
Bob Bartle, Lee Midgely, Matt Holroyd and Scott Allinson along with the now retired Jonny Meynel.......we had limited success,
several promotions to the dizzy height of division 2 and a cup final defeat to Ziggys.
Last season Bob decided not to run them due to lack of time but he passed on the team to his son Steven
to run with his mates who were all aged just 14 to 15 at the time.
A steep learning curve for them as they play v adults, but quickly established themselves as a good passing
team with a good future. Despite relegation they competed well but were ultimately not physical enough due to their age /
size.
Season 07/08 has seen a good start and 2nd at the time of writing and Bob has high hopes that some of the
lads will progress into the Sunday team at some point in the future also.
