Well with 4 wins from 5 games played i feel we have turned the corner at last, its been a long road back to something like real form for us at Pine after we had lost the winning mentality over the last season or so.

Life in division 1 for a lot of our lads was ok and we coped well when we had a good team out, but ive always said a team is only as good as its weakest player and when we were down at the bottom having lost a lot of players through retirement or alcohol abuse or quitting etc then it was always going to be a hard slog getting back where we want to be.

I want us to get back into division 1 at the 1st attempt and its a realistic aim for us and the standard has now been set so its down to the players now if they want it also.

We have been able to bring in Matthew Chapman and Craig Smith who have been an instant success and with Chappy bringing in Ben Orchard as keeper he has gelled straight away and you can tell he is a top class keeper.

Weve also signed on Essen Quereshi who is Assad`s brother and he looks a good solid signing and although he arrives at a time when we have a lot of players im sure he will get games and do well for us.

With the website giving us a pressence again and with the other players responding well to the new signings, things are looking up again for us......all we need now is to build on what we have, not just with the odd new signing but off the pitch in terms of club trips, nights out etc.

I want us to remain one of the best run clubs around and also to fulfill the dream for me that is to one day compete for the divison 1 title, it can be done and that was my driving ambition when we originaly were formed.....we got close to getting a solid platform a couple of seasons ago to go onto better things but things went pearshaped but if we stick together over the next couple of seasons id like to think we can become a top 4 division 1 club.
