Copley 9 Falcon 5
(Hx Sun Cup 2nd rd)
(pine - Holroyd 1 Probets 3 Allinson 1)

Despite scoring 5 quality goals, Pine shot themselves in the foot with a machine gun as individual errors cost them 8 of the 9 goals which rampant Copley were in the mood to capitalise.

Depleted Falcon, without 5 regulars and with injury and star forward Holroyd delayed by a traffic jam on the M62..........started well and took the lead following a slick pass from Lee Midgley with Adam Probets converting.
The lead was short lived as Jones left Brownridge for dead.

Pine regained the lead when man of the match Scott Allinson had a simple tap into an empty net but again Copley were level with rookie keeper Craggs dropping a simple catch with the sun blinding him......a minute after Copley took the lead again in haphazard fashion.

At 3-2 down pine`s new signing Craig Smith thought he heard a whistle and inexplicably bent down and picked the ball up conceding a penalty in the process which Jones duly despatched.
To make matters worse just before the break Asad Qureshi sliced into his own net to complete a woeful 1st half.

Smith then had a head injury and played on whilst still being groggy, but with the defence depleted pine let another in with a soft free kick sailing past the shell shocked Craggs.

Falcon finally got to grips with the strange game and Holroyd scored a neat volley before Probets grabbed his 2nd with a fine solo effort.

At 6-4 Copley were rocking but yet again in true comedy capers style Pine were to concede another with Chapman heading into his own net but at the other end Probets gained a hatrick from the penalty spot.

7-5 and all to play for with ten minutes on the clock but another couple of blunders put paid to any lingering hopes of a Falcon late equaliser.

Copley look a useful outfit and worthy of the win however Pine need to get back to winning ways next Sunday
