PINE TOO GOOD FOR WINDMILL
Windmill 1 Falcon Pine 3 (Holroyd,Smith,OG Price) (Price pen)
Falcon Pine FC won their second game in as many weeks with a convincing 3-1 away win over a Windmill side
that were lacking in creativity.
With Falcon dominating the early exchanges but failing to convert their posession to goals, Windmill began
to use the oddly shaped pitch their advantage with a string of right wing attacks from the Price brothers.
After twenty minutes Pine took the lead however with a well worked goal by Holroyd following an excellent
passing move by Scholey,Chapman and Allinson and soon after a trademark long throw by skipper Steve Scholey was deflected
into the net by Ryan Price.
After the break Falcon again took control and it was no surprise when they extended the lead from a brilliant
free kick by new signing Craig Smith who has added Pine to his list of clubs that include Siddal,Royal & Elland.
At 3-0 Falcon took their foot off the pedal with the introduction of their substitutes effecting their rythem
and it was no shock when Windmill scored a consolation through a dubious penalty after inexperienced Luke Craggs was adjudged
to have felled an opponent.Ryan Price making up for his own goal by converting accurately into the bottom corner.
Falcon on this form look to have turned the corner and are hopeful of an extended run of form, with new signings
Chapman and Smith both adding to the quality that was already there - the winning mentality is returning to the Pine
